The Night Crawler

It’s half past two in the morning, I shifted uncomfortably in my bed expecting it. My phone beeps throwing a faint light into my girl’s beautiful face. I kissed her cheek softly and moved her arms aside. I silenced my mobile and got dressed. I took it out of my cupboard and looked at closely before shoving it into my jeans. The time has come. 

I reached the building in 10 minutes. It was heavily guarded as usual but I didn’t deter, I had to do it. I took it from my jeans and pointed at the guard. He raised his arm and let me in. As I walked along the dark corridor, my thoughts raced elsewhere. Of all talents I had, I could have been anything yet I chose to be this. I lowered my head in shame but kept walking. This is no time to repent.

As I reached my destination, the phone rang. I picked it up, I exactly knew who it was and what they wanted from me. ‘Gokul, the Application is down. This is a priority 1 issue which needs to be solved asap’

Don’t worry if you didn’t workout in the morning

5 speed breakers and you would have done 5 sit-ups

For people like me who have a boring life

It’s an adventure we look forward to, every day

Mediocre is Awesome

We always complain to God that why he didn’t give us extraordinary talents. What if I had the talent of Sachin, or say Albert Einstein. This kind of thought is prevalent among most of us(including me). No, I’m not going to teach how to become extraordinary. Instead I’ll tell you why being mediocre is Awesome.

• The majority of the people in the world are mediocre. So, extraordinary people are kind of an aberration. Something is really wrong with them.

• Extraordinary people always carry too much expectations on their shoulders(Sachin). Does anybody expect Ashish Nehra to get 5 wicket hauls everytime? Think.

• They find success too easily and so they seldom know it’s real value but mediocre people work really hard to get success which gives them more happiness than the latter. Remember, success is a journey and not a destination.

• Most extraordinary people are emotionally imbalanced and have a very poor social life but for us a birthday party is way more exciting than working on the Theory of Relativity

• Extraordinary people are always envied upon and have few friends but everyone likes to a have a mediocre friend who is equal to him.

• Mediocre guys always get girls. You know that girls are impressed by that 'last row guy' having 2 arrears rather than a topper.

• Extraordinary people always think too much and end up in a confused state.

• They may earn more money and become multi-millionaires and in most cases get spoilt. Mediocre people earn just the sufficient money to sustain themselves and which keeps them checked. Remember, less is more.

I sat on a window seat of a Bus

Gazing at the people boarding in a rush

Round face with puffy cheeks of the color of the evening Sun

Little red lips and eyes of marble and I knew she was the ‘One’

Of all the men in the Bus, She saw me, only me

I realized our hearts beat together in harmony

Notwithstanding the force of love, she came near

My heart races contemplating the first words to tell my Dear

But she spoke first in a lovely little voice

This is a ladies’ seat
